Rye was just about 3 weeks old when we took these. There is nothing better than a newborn baby, besides photographing one. Rye and his older brother Reese got me even more excited for the arrival of our second boy. I love both of their names. I feel as though choosing boy names are tough but they found some good ones. It was wonderful to see you all again. Congratulations Dunham fam.

what’s happenin’

I cant wait for Spring to arrive and the sprinkling of warmers days followed by 30 degrees days are torture. In preparation, I’ve got quite a few things on the front burner. All announcements will be made in my next newsletter so if you’re not on my mailing list, email me.

• For starters, I’m working on a big update to my website, primarily with new photos. I hope to have this completed in the next couple weeks in coordination with a new blog header.

• Digital albums are in the works. These albums will be a less expensive option to my handmade albums. I hope to offer them in a variety of silks and leathers. Something a little more modern and fun.

• I have had quite a few existing clients ask me to use film this year, specifically my square format camera, and so I have created a black and white film package. Package includes my assistance in designing a photo gallery featuring the gorgeous square fine art hand-prints.

• I’m very excited about my WESTCHESTER REFERRAL PROGRAM! For everyone who forwards my next newsletter to their Westchester friends, and if that friend books a shoot, they will receive 10% OFF their next shoot or print order.

• Look for photos of my nearly finished office to appear on my blog soon. I just bought this couch, on sale from Crate and Barrel. In case you cant tell already, green is a favorite color of mine. I think it will look nice with my navy walls. You agree?

• And last but not least, please take note, I will be going on MATERNITY LEAVE from shooting from mid-May through the end of July. Call now if you want to book a shoot for April or early May.

On our way to school yesterday I bribed Conner to pose with some chocolate. I couldn’t resist snapping a few of him in his red shirt. Yes, I’m that kind of mom who feeds chocolate at 8am but it was it for a justifiable purpose, photos. And not to mention, Conner LOVES chocolate (and all sweets) more than life itself. He calls it “choc” and occasionally I catch myself doing the same. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I hope you all eat lots of choc.

I went to high school with these two beautiful ladies. Our parents were friends several years ago before mine moved back into the city. It’s their mom’s birthday today and the family decided to get together to purchase a photo shoot as the gift. Many years have passed but I was so pleased when I got a call from their father Rod, to set up the shoot. I heard mom often returns things but I dont think that’s an option this year. ; ) Happy Birthday Pam! I hope you enjoy the photos. To Rod, Lauren and Jessica – thank you for allowing me to be part of the surprise. It was wonderful to see you all.

a little brother

We found out on Friday, Conner will have a little brother come June! I was a little sad (and scared of handling two boys) that I wasn’t having a girl. I think most women wish for a daughter but as well all know, we have little control over these things. Now that the verdict has sunk in, I’m thrilled. I really look forward to having two boys to take skiing, golfing, fishing etc. together. They will be buds and who knows, maybe we’ll aim for 3. Talk to me in about a year for that decision.

I had the pleasure of photographing Avery a couple weeks ago. She is just beautiful. Avery’s dad works with my husband… This was our second shoot, the first was of Avery’s brother Jared. He didn’t want to pose with his little sister so we concentrated on her, which was easy. She is quite the star. Thanks for a wonderful mini shoot.
