December 22nd, 2008
It’s that time of again for the THE PHOTO OF THE YEAR Contest! We have chosen 15 photos for you to cast your votes upon and are partnering with The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, which we’re very excited about.
Here are the DETAILS for this year’s contest:
1. For every vote cast upon the winning photo, I will donate $1.00 to CMOM’s Bronx Educational Initiative. CMOM educators provide year-round storytelling, art, music, math and language-based activities for Bronx children and their families at three community sites in the borough with the youngest and poorest population.

holiday cheer
December 22nd, 2008
The past month has been filled with decorating the house, visiting the Winter Wonderland in Tarrytown, playing in the snow, shopping, receiving lots of holiday cards and getting ready for Santa in every way possible. Just a few photos of us…
And now off to LA until Friday.
Look for the unveiling of the Photo of The Year contest tomorrow which will remain posted for a couple weeks while I’m on vacation. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and Merry Christmas! See you in the New Year.
xmas with class a
December 19th, 2008
Conner’s class had their Christmas party yesterday where they decorated ginger bread cookies and listened to Merry Christmas, Curious George. A few of the moms attended, including myself. It was sooo cute. Merry Christmas everyone! To put us all in the Christmas spirit we have about 6 inches of snow so far and it’s still coming down. Off to build a snowman or two and make some chicken soup. Lots of holiday posts to come early next week, including the Photo Contest of the Year. Stay tuned. Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend.
one of my last shoots with the Zarba family
December 17th, 2008
I walked into Max’s nursery and fell in love with the light and the adorable blanket on the wall. I thought, perfect! We snapped way in his room and then bundled up to take a few outside. The Zarbas recently moved to Bronxville so I was excited to capture a few memories in their new home. They told me all about how they met at the black jack tables in Vegas. How fun does that sound right now? I LOVE Vegas. I think for our next shoot we have to tie that in some how. I’ll brainstorm. Until then, happy holidays and thank you!
Lots of holiday posting to come as well as the Photo of the Year contest. Stay tuned.
emily and I hit the mpd
December 15th, 2008
I always look forward to photographing Emily because we have a good time. She comes dressed in a stylish outfit and is ready to pose for my camera. Even though the day was bitterly cold she toughed it out. We took a break and warmed up at the Gansevort hotel and then took a few last shots in front of one of my favorite garages next to Pastis. Thanks Emily for being a great sport. It was great to see you and your mom and dad.
one cold day
December 11th, 2008
The day of my shoot with the Greenholtz family sure was a cold one. We met in the meatpacking district where it’s always a little more windy. They were great sports though and despite the chill, we got some great shots. Mom was worried Alex wasn’t quite herself and not as smiley as usual but I think we managed to capture a few grins. Thank you for bearing the cold. It was a pleasure to meet you 3.
December 10th, 2008
I feel like Santa between packaging and delivering orders and trying to do some of my own shopping and decorating. This weekend we are taking Conner to see the Winter Wonderland and I have a Christmas brunch with a few of my best friends from high school. It’s also our 5 year anniversary. Lots of events… I am loving this time of year because I can finally enjoy it. I was so busy this fall and felt like I didn’t get to take advantage. Now that things have slowed down and I’m not shooting all weekend I can do things with my fam.
Here are the Benn’s. A great family I’ve photographed quite a few times now. Asher and Delilah are two of my favorite models. When I walked into the apartment she was sitting on the couch, happy as a clam, waiting for everyone else to get ready.
This was the chosen holiday card shot. Love this.
Asher and Dad had to run back to the apartment and I had a few minutes with just Mom and Delilah.
Thank you Benn’s. I’ll be back tomorrow with more holiday cheer.
battery park
December 9th, 2008
So I’m going to post a couple shoots today to make up for lack of posting over the past week. Lets start with the Daly family. We met at their apartment in Battery Park, read a couple books, played on the bed and then headed out in the cold. The Dalys are a new client. They were so easy to work with and I think we both felt very comfortable. We had a great shoot and hope to see them again!
they chose this for their holiday card. i love this shot.
December 5th, 2008
This week flew by. I just realized I haven’t posted since Monday. A few thoughts:
I feel like I’m running out of steam. Either it’s being pregnant or I just need a break, or both. Luckily my holiday orders are all under control and everyone is taken care of. I’m tying up loose ends and putting a few more orders through today. To motivate I’m listening to old school rap. Think Biggie, Jay Z, Lil Kim, Mary J…
We are getting our Christmas tree this weekend, we have a holiday party in the city on Saturday night and I’m shooting on Sunday. I think we are also going to PJ Clarkes, my favorite burger place in the city, because I crave cheeseburgers.
I joined a gym this week, The Gym in Armonk. Big fan. It’s sad when your juicy sweats already feel snug. It’s time get my butt back to the gym. I’ve felt pretty crappy over the past couple months and haven’t done squat. No pun intended. Otherwise come June (due date it June 23rd) I’m going to look like a cow. Actually that’s probably inevitable but hey, atleast I tried, right?
Today is my brother’s 28th birthday. This only means in less than a month I will be 33 since we are nearly 5 years apart. Yikes.
Soon I will be posting my “Top Photos From 2008″ contest. You will all have the chance to vote on your favorite image and the owner of that photo will take home a photo canvas. Look for the unveiling in the next week or so.
And now I will leave you with photos of gorgeous Natalia. Her mom just ordered the most beautiful holiday card and I can’t wait to see it. Have a great weekend everyone.
counting down
December 1st, 2008
I’m still full from turkey day and it’s December 1st. I can’t believe it. Only 3 more weeks before Christmas arrives. The countdown has begun.
Here are a few photos of CC in her gorgeous yard in Pound Ridge. She sure is cute and mom is such a pleasure to chat with. It was great to see you, in the burbs this time. Thank you.
