mother and son

October 30th, 2008

I’ve photographed this pair several times before, our first shoot was when Dylan was just about 2 years old. This time around I noticed how close they are and how their relationship has grown over the last 2 years. They have a very special bond and it was such an honor to be able to capture a little of that bond. Afterwards, I thought about the relationship between a mom and her son and how that develops and strengthens over time. My little one of course came to mind. I also thought about how much I love my job. There are some shoots that really remind me why I do this and this was definitely one of them.

Dylan has grown so much since we first met. I can’t believe how handsome he is. There’s no doubt he is going to be a knock out. Mom, look out because I have a feeling the girls will be beating down the door.

I love this photo.

Thank you!! Until next time…

CP

October 29th, 2008

Meet the adorable Max and Adela in Central Park. The two really had no interest in posing together so we basically did 2 solo shoots. We did manage to get one of them together, thank god, as mom needed a holiday card photo. Anyways, here is a little collage of the 2 of them, just to mix things up. I think this would look great blown up big and framed. Enjoy!

oscar and devon

October 27th, 2008

These two were so much fun to photograph. Look at those cheeks. We started by snapping a few at the apartment, one of my favorite spots is on the dining room table. The light is usually good there and the kids get a kick out of standing on something they aren’t usually allowed to stand on. Then we headed out to explore their neighborhood, Tribeca. Mom even introduced me to a new alley which is sure to pop up in future shoots. Pleasure meeting you all. Thank you!!

a warm welcome

October 24th, 2008

I have some of the best clients, one of them being Betty and her beautiful family. They welcomed me with a bloody marry and snacks. I mean, how can you have a bad shoot after a bloody marry and a little cheese and crackers? Not only was that nice but their boys are so sweet and so handsome, all 4 of them and possibly one more on the way. Time will tell. Can you imagine, 5 boys. It’s going to be Betty and the football team. Well, I guess it already it is. What a pleasure Betty. Oh and your parents are adorable. What an honor it was. Thank you!

We had a take a few of the boys’ lizard, he is new to the family. Isn’t it funny how all boys want a lizard at some point in their childhood.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I’ll be back next week with more shoots and hopefully a few of my family. I have loads of Conner photos to process. The guilt is sinking in.

brothers

October 22nd, 2008

These two boys are so cute and their mom is the sweetest. We have our southern roots and our love for a good margarita in common so we get along well. We spent this Sunday morning doing boy things, climbing trees, swinging on their swing and even went for a few jumps on the neighbor’s trampoline. Thank you for a great shoot and thanks to mom for the Rye Vehicle Fair opportunity. You all are such a pleasure.

stone barns with lily and nate

October 20th, 2008

Just another afternoon with Lily and her new brother Nate. I’ve photographed Lily quite a few times so I was anxious to meet their newest addition, who is a big bundle of love. We met at Stone Barns and explored the farm together. Lily has quite the personality. Her mom told me she responds, “Maybe when I’m five,” when she doesn’t want to try something new or do as she is asked. This pretty much sums her up. It was a pleasure as always. Thank you!

a diaper change was the perfect excuse to get a few of naked nate

a few rolls down the hill

then as dad said, it’s Lily striking her best impression of Run DMC. It’s Tricky.

neighbors

October 16th, 2008

So as we know I moved to Chappaqua and coincidentally I’m living only 4 houses down from an old NYC neighbor. Sloane and I lived in the same building downtown a few years back. I photographed Sam when I first started this business after Sloane and I became friendly from running into each other repeatedly in the elevator. I couldn’t be happier to have her as a neighbor again, as well as her sister who lives down the road. They are both super cool. Thanks ladies for a wonderful morning and for welcoming me to the hood. I look forward to our movie night, more play dates and several evenings out on the town.

Sloane’s family at her beautiful home….

And now meet her sister Blake and her gorgeous family…

And a couple of all the girls together…

The End.

friends

October 15th, 2008

I recently photographed two families in the same building. They are friends. For both shoots we used the same apartment and terrace, Milo’s apartment. His mom has referred me to many of her friends recently. THANK YOU! I love referrals because I get to know groups of friends. One of the many things about this job that I truly enjoy.

So here is the very active, imaginative and chatty Milo. I was blown away by his imagination and energy. Mom and I just sat and laughed at him. He is quite the character.

And now meet Milo’s new neighbors Copper and Carter. They are just 2 months old. Twins obviously. I could have photographed them all day. Those big blue eyes were mesmerizing and what’s better than one naked baby? Two! It was such a pleasure to meet you. Thank you.

October 8th, 2008

This was such a great shoot. All three were great models, very enthusiastic and very funny. We laughed a bunch, mom and dad had a great sense of humor. They are so in love with their little girl and who can blame them. She is so cute and has the best expressions. It was a pleasure meeting you 3 in the park. We started at Sheeps Meadow and ended at Bethesda Fountain – did a nice little circuit and even got a wardrobe change in. Please note, someday she will demand a pony, so look out. Thank you!

she didn’t approve of the pda…

stone street

October 7th, 2008

We spent the morning on Stone Street and then wondered over to Fulton. I hadn’t shot there before so I was happy to explore a new neighborhood with the Melottos. I hope to visit again with other clients. There is no shortage of cool backgrounds, good texture and colors. One of my favorite things abut NYC are the brick paved roads. There are only a few of these left so we had to take advantage. Thomas was happy to oblige. It was so nice to meet you three. Hope you had a great time at the Yankees game. Thank you.
