The final days
August 28th, 2008
of summer are upon us. We are out in the Hamptons. Three shoots down, 8 more to go. Thanks GOD for good weather. It’s gorgeous and it’s supposed to stay that way. For the sake of my shooting schedule I really hope it does. I’m finally sitting poolside, Corona in hand. Conner’s napping and Jack Johnson is on the radio. This is going to be our mid-afternoon routine for the next 4 days.
As I’ve mentioned here before, this summer has been a whirlwind. It all started with two moves. One out of the city and to NJ where we stayed with my in-laws for four weeks. While there we took a very quick trip to Italy for the marriage of two of our good friends. Shortly after we moved into our house in Westchester where we’re finally getting settled. July consisted of many shoots out east and unpacking. August was made up of two weeks living with painters, one trip to Houston because my grandmother passed away, one new nanny, a visit from my two brothers where I got a taste of what it would be like to have three boys, one last trip to the Hamptons for 11 shoots and a partridge in a pear tree.
Is it fall yet? Kidding. I feel very blessed to have great clients, a job where I get to work on the beautiful shores of the Atlantic, a new home and a close family. Enjoy the last few days of this amazing August we’re having. I am!

beach bound
August 26th, 2008
It’s hard to believe there is only one week left of summer. By the feel of the weather, I think fall is going to arrive early here. Before it does we are headed to the beach. I have 10 shoots but hope to get some R&R (and a tan!) in between. It’s just going to be me, Brendan and Conner for a week which I’m looking forward to. It’s been a crazy summer and I’m hoping the fall brings a little less chaos. I’ll be in touch throughout the week with some thoughts. In the meantime here are a few shots from a recent shoot in Westport with the Dunhams. We tried to set up this shoot last year but couldn’t make it happen so I’m glad it worked out this time. Congratulations (mom is expecting)! I look forward to our newborn shoot in February. Until then, feel good.
little gymnasts
August 22nd, 2008
These two were pretty darn cute and are definitely going to be little gymnasts. They had a ton of energy, running and climbing all over everything. We started at the house in their backyard. I love this little series…
and then off to the beach
i LOVE this photo
It was a gorgeous evening on the beach. The light was great, perfect temperature and great models. Yum. Thanks for a wonderful shoot.
back home
August 18th, 2008
I’ve returned from Texas and am back to work. Somewhat. Our new nanny started today and they are still painting our house. I’m feeling a little distracted. Regardless, here are a few shots from another one of my beach shoots with the Banks. I photographed Mo when he was just about 8 months, not even walking. Clearly things have changed and now Auggie is following in his foot steps. Thanks for a great shoot. I hope to see you again soon!
old friends
August 12th, 2008
So before we head off to Texas I’m trying to get a few jobs processed and posted. One of them being of Andress and her family. Andress and I were best friends through middle school, in Texas. We spent many nights toilet papering houses, prank calling, painting each other’s nails, watching movies and well, doing middle school girl things. When I moved to NY I was very sad to say good-bye and even more sad when we drifted apart. To my delight, about a year ago she emailed me. Last summer we met for sushi in Sag Harbor to catch up and this summer she booked a shoot. What a pleasure it was to meet her girls Hannah and Kellogg, and explore Shelter Island together. Steven (Andress’s husband) has been spending his summers there all of his life so he knew a thing or two. ; ) Thank you!
alot going on
August 12th, 2008
My grandmother passed away and we are headed to Texas. Our house in being painted. We hired a new nanny. My brother is coming to visit. Then I’m headed to the Hamptons to shoot for the last week of August. If you dont hear from me much here, well, that’s why. ; ) Enjoy the rest of summer and I’ll be in touch infrequently over the next few weeks.

george’s 2nd
August 8th, 2008
I love photographing George. He’s pretty funny and has a great little personality. He made me laugh quite a bit behind my camera while photographing his 2nd birthday. It was held at the Elite Gym in Tribeca and he loved it. It was a warm day but that didn’t slow him down. The party ended with cupcakes. George carried his around, patiently and neatly licking the frosting off one lick at a time.
2 + 1 on the way = 3

I love these two boys. I’ve photographed them a few times now and feel as tough we’ve become friends. This time we met in Westport. Obviously they are expecting a brother or sister very soon. Thanks Suzy. Wonderful to see you and the family. I look forward to our newborn shoot. Until then, feel good.
I think there are some similarities here…
