the stuarts
April 25th, 2008
uartsBrad (Dad) works with my husband so I was excited to meet and photograph his adorable family. On the day of our shoot Central Park was packed, thanks to the Pope’s visit, but I think we managed to avoid the crowds and get plenty of good shots. Jared cleared the way for us. Thank You!
happiness
April 24th, 2008
Today my world stood still, or atleast it slowed down a bit, and I was reminded how nothing really matters except our happiness. I just got off the phone with my brother and rarely do I write about anything too personal on my blog, but after our conversation I feel compelled to do so.
Chris said to me, "Everything is really good, life is really good." I had to pause and soak that in. I can’t remember the last time I heard him say that. I dont know if he has ever said that. After I got off the phone I put on Al Green’s "Love and Happiness" and felt this warmth rush over me. I got that weird feeling in the back of my throat. The tears flowed. To hear him say that, wow, makes me beyond happy. Elated really. It was breathtaking.
Chris has been on a long journey since our mother passed away 5 years ago, and finally he has found his place. Not only a sober life, but a happy life. Nothing, and I mean nothing, makes me happier to know he has found peace and happiness living a clean and sober life. I can’t predict what will happen in the future but at this moment, life is really good.

good bye to the winter coat
April 18th, 2008
Nothing makes me happier than to not have to bundle Conner up every time we leave the house. By the time spring arrives I want to burn all of our winter coats. Warmer days are here and it feels so nice to strap him in the stroller minus hat, gloves, sweaters, coat and the bundle me. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Have a great weekend!
i love this one, so i had to make it big

the bun
April 18th, 2008
Thano, a.k.a The Bun, was such a love. He has 3 older brothers who have nicknamed him “The Bun.” I love that. I photographed him a couple of times before he entered this world so I was very excited to actually meet him. Welcome Thano and thanks Betty. It was wonderful to spend your last afternoon before heading back to work with you two. A great finale to your maternity leave.
lost touch
April 15th, 2008
I was thrilled when India’s mom Jennifer emailed me back in February. We used to work together at JWT and hadn’t spoke since we both left the company about 5 years ago. Jen left right before I did to pursue a career in Interior Design (email me if you are looking for a wonderful interior designer and Ill send you her contact info). Anyways, I often wondered how she was doing and was bummed we lost touch so I was not only happy to meet and photograph her family, but thrilled to actually see her and catch up. And to top it off, the day of the shoot was India’s first birthday. Happy Birthday India and thank you Jen for inviting me to be a part of her/your special day.

ellie and conner
April 7th, 2008
I just returned from a very quick trip to Texas where I saw my family plus a few of my oldest and dearest friends. I didn’t get to take nearly enough photos, I just didn’t have the time and the time we did have was spent catching up. I did manage to get a few of Ellie though. Ellie’s mom Katie, is one of my oldest girlfriends. We have know each other since elementary school. We lived across the street from each other and spent every weekend sleeping at each other’s houses. We’ve been through a lot together, our lives are similar in many ways and now we both have children who are very close in age. It’s probably a good thing they live in different states. If they are anything like their moms were, they would get into ALOT of trouble together. As always, we took many trips down memory lane in the short time we had together. So good to reminisce. I miss ya’ll!
texas
April 3rd, 2008
This weekend we are going to Texas (Houston) to see my grandmother and a few of my oldest and dearest friends. For those of you who dont know, my family lived there until I was 14 and then we moved to Westchester. My brother is meeting us there and I can’t wait to see him. We have already planned our eating itinerary to include the one and only, original Ninfa’s for the best tex-mex you will ever have in your life. I’m talking pitchers of margaritas and homemade tortillas. Then we’re going to hit Goode Company for some good ol’ fashion bar-b-q and the best pecan pie you’ll ever sink your teeth into. No one does is better than TX when it comes tex-mex and b-b-q. I hope to return very full and with a few photos to share.
In the meantime, enjoy these from a recent shoot with Elizabeth and little Leo. They were lovely. And how great is her bed spread? I think I have to purchase it when we move into our new house. It’s from Bed Bath and Beyond. She even had matching crib bumpers made out of an extra pair of the coordinating sheets. Such a good idea. I might have to copy it some day.
