cooking…
March 28th, 2008
I came across this very cool cooking website. Many of you might
already know if it, but I’m a newcomer. For those of you haven’t
visited, I highly recommend it. The recipes are easy, unique and
healthy. I hope to try out her lime oven fries tonight with some blue
cheese and red pepper turkey burgers (my own recipe).
Have a great weekend.
EB and the MOMA
March 24th, 2008
The Easter Bunny came this weekend. We took Conner to a farm in NJ for an egg hunt. He was much more fascinated with the giant ark than anything having to do with Easter. It was pretty cool. I would love to have one of these in our backyard. Some day…
and a couple from the MOMA a few weeks ago.

the new website

Is up! It’s pretty much done – soon the portfolio will play on a slide show. My amazing website designer Matt Krueger, is working on completing that portion of it. In the meantime, we decided to go live. The slide show feature should be done by the end of the week so I hope you will check back. I am SO pleased with it. Enjoy.
the grocery store
March 10th, 2008
Today Conner and I went to the grocery store. We did our shopping and when we were ready to get in line, there was only one cashier working a VERY LONG line. By now, Conner is on his last thread. I know I only have a limited time with him at the store. 20 minutes max. before the fun of the grocery cart wears off. It was past the 20 minute timeframe.
I look at the long line, sigh and file in, hoping for the best. We’re creeping along and Conner’s whine is reaching new levels. I finally get to the front and realize I’m not only in the express lane but 2 more cashiers have come on board. At this point, I can’t get into the right line because as all of you who have been with a 1 1/2 year old in a public place know, when they are losing patience, they control the situation. If I did that, there was no way we would make it out of there alive, I mean he would make it out of there alive. I decide to go for it and hope for the best.
First, I am reprimanded by the cashier, "Next time Miss, you will have to get in the right lane." I reply, "Ok, I’m sorry but when I got in line, this was the only open lane and because the line was so long, I couldn’t see it was the express lane." By now, Conner is losing it so I take him out of the cart and am holding him on my hip while with my free arm, I am one handedly taking all gazillion items out of my cart. I can hear the huffing and puffing of everyone behind me. Typical New Yorkers giving you dirty looks, rolling their eyes and cursing you underneath their breath. All because of something as simple as getting in the wrong grocery store lane. I’m sweating. Conner is screaming….
A nice gentleman comes and helps me unload and I put Conner into his stroller. I’m paying my bill and just when I think I might have things back under control, the woman behind who has witnessed my balancing act, rudely says, "It’s hard to imagine for $192.00 you had 10 items or less." I wont put the rest of our conversation in writing, but lets just say a few 4 letter words were thrown around. I left there shaking, not knowing whether to cry or try to hunt her down for vengeance.
You know when you get into argument with someone and afterwards your stuck thinking of all the things you wished you had said? Well, those thoughts filled the rest of my day. I can look back and laugh now, but I dont know if I will go back to that grocery store anytime soon. Good thing there are food stores on every corner.
Then I had a thought, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve photographed her granddaughter.

I LOVE this site. Not only do they have a cool shop, but every few months they publish an online photography magazine. If you are a photographer, I highly recommend purchasing it. It is VERY inspiring and motivating. Full of ideas. My favorite section is the studio/workspace or storefront they highlight in each publication. It’s easy, just purchase through paypal and download.

I knew it was going to be a good shoot when Michael answered the door. He was warm, very friendly and wore a big smile. I felt like we hit it off, the 4 of us. Reagan is only 5 weeks and so she slept for 99% shoot. Occasionally she woke up to snack which was a nice break because we had a lot to chat about. LA (where they recently moved from), cooking and well, babies. Good conversation and such a lovely family. What more can you ask for?
