I loved this family. I knew when Mom emailed me to book, it was going to be fun. She has great energy. When I stepped into their apartment I quickly learned she is also an amazing interior designer. I’m going to call her for decorating advice when we move again. Check out her fab. blog, Chic Mommy Finds, a great place to find cool things for the kiddos. Thanks a bunch Suysel. You all were wonderful and Cecilia is the sweetest.
the east village
November 27th, 2007
with duncan and his parents. I haven’t shot in the East Village so I was thrilled when I heard where they lived. We started at their apartment and then headed to the streets. We walked along 2nd Ave. and then found a little park where we shot a few. Mom is born and raised here. I always find it so cool when someone still lives here after growing up here. I guess it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else. As we all know, NYC has it all. It sucks you in. Thank you Katherine. Such a pleasure to spend this chilly morning with you and your family, in your new hood (they just moved from the East to the West Village). I’ll be in touch.

I’m featured on the Pink Ink Studios blog this week. A great website for photographers to buy tools and to find inspiration. Every couple weeks they interview a different photographer. Thanks to the ladies at Pink Ink.
thanksgiving
November 20th, 2007
I was just going through these recent photos of Conner trying to walk. He’s so close. While processing them I started to think about how thankful I am for him and many other things came to mind as well. My husband, my entire family, good friends, my business and many wonderful, supportive clients. Sometimes I loose sight of what Thanksgiving is all about. It’s easy to do, we get wrapped up in the traveling, the cooking, cleaning etc. We are getting ready to head to my in-laws in NJ for the holiday. I hope you all have a wonderful turkey day. Don’t forget to take a few minutes to acknowledge the things in your life that you’re thankful for.
And yes, you can all make fun of Brendan and Conner for having matching jackets.
bob the builder
November 20th, 2007
Coby’s 2nd birthday was held at Kidville and the theme was Bob the Builder, who made an appearance. There was also a musical guest who entertained Coby’s many friends. I loved when the kids jammed out with their blow up guitars. Thanks Stacey. It was great to see you. I can’t believe how big Coby is. And he only turned 2!
st. kilda
November 18th, 2007
I recently photographed Nora, a jewelry designer with a beautiful line of jewelry, St. Kilda. I was very excited to photograph an adult with no children. What a nice break from my everyday routine. I went out to Brooklyn and after taking a few on her roof top, we walked the streets of her neighborhood. Nora was a natural and made my job very easy. I think she’s done this before. Anyways, had a lovely afternoon, bought a pair of very cool earrings and headed back into to the city. I always find it inspiring to see how other creative people work and live. Thanks Nora.

What a doll, how cute is she? For some reason, I rarely get clients over the age of 5 (if you know of some send them over). Most of the children I photograph are younger so I love when I get to work with an older child. Sometimes I freeze a little when I remember I have to give direction. I’m so used to chasing the little ones around. Emily didn’t need a lot of direction though. She really knew how to strike a pose. I love these. I’ve photographed her before, but these are by far some of the best we’ve gotten. Enjoy Emily and Stacy.
the many faces of CC
November 15th, 2007
I love the name CC, sounds so old Hollywood. Like an old movie star… CC was non-stop. Then add their dog Ginger to the mix, oh was it was entertaining. They made me laugh out loud. The three of us wandered around the Conservatory Gardens for over an hour. I dont know who was leading who. Thanks Jenny.
halloween party
November 13th, 2007
I photographed this adorable Halloween party last year so I was thrilled when Brooke’s mom booked me again this year. It’s always held at Kidville for Brooke’s class. So cute. Brooke was Madelon this year, Sammie and Tudie performed and everyone had a great time. Thanks Margaret! Until next year…
